Black Woods, deer trail Sighting G14-C

Black Woods....

The "Black Woods" are what the First Tribes called the deepest and most inaccessible regions of the coastal mountain forest that once extended unbroken and untamed from below Reedsport up as far as Tillamook. And yes, I am perfectly aware that in the time of the First Tribes there was NO SUCH THING as Reedsport or Tillamook. So stop scratching your ass and GET A LIFE!!!

Now of course there are no more First Tribe members alive anymore, but they do have descendents and GUESS WHAT???  Native American culture is built around oral histories, which means (and again I clarify for those of you who only get your world knowledge from Saturday morning cartoons) if you are willing to seek out the right people and LISTEN to them, you can learn almost anything about anything that pertains to their past. Which is exactly what I have done. Three points, extra credit and a gold star for me!!!

Okay so here's the important part: certain locations in the Black Woods were always marked - from the beginning of time, from when Sky and Land were first joined - as "forbidden", or at the very least open to only the most powerful and accomplished shamans.
